Moreno Beach Bridge Project SR/60 Eastbound & Westbound Nighttime Full Closure and Moreno Beach Dr. Closure
The Moreno Beach Bridge Project over the SR/60 requires two nights of full closure of the SR/60 starting with the EB direction and switching to the WB direction. This will allow the Construction crews to install a temporary support system for the construction of the west side of the new bridge over the SR/60. This will provide safety for the public and the workers. The project team is targeting April 8, 2022 for the EB closure and April 9, 2022 for the WB closure from 11pm - 7am. These closures are dependent on weather, other natural occurrences beyond the City’s control as well as the contractor receiving proper materials on timely basis for each job function. Therefore, these closures can be changed or canceled at any time.
When the closure does occur, motorist traveling on the SR/60 will utilize the On and Off ramps as a detour. (Detours labeled in blue on Detour Map 1) Drivers will exit Moreno Beach Dr. to continue straight and then enter directly back on the SR/60 in the same direction using the on ramps.
When the closure does occur, the Contractor will also require the closure of Moreno Beach Dr. from Ironwood to Eucalyptus on both nights. (Detour marked with arrows on Detour Map 2) Local drivers can use Nason St. or Redlands Blvd. to cross over the SR/60 by turning either direction on Ironwood Ave. or Eucalyptus Ave.
